Leeds United: Blow as winger set to miss next month
Leeds United manager Daniel Farke has confirmed further injury concerns ahead of their match against Burnley this weekend.
The club faces a tough situation with winger Daniel James expected to miss up to four weeks due to a reinjury during his rehab. Max Wober’s availability for the game is also in doubt due to a knee issue sustained on international duty with Austria.
Injured Players:
- Daniel James: Out for approximately four weeks with a reinjured hamstring.
- Max Wober: Doubtful due to a knee problem, with a late decision pending.
Farke noted that the international break has been challenging, with thirteen players away and limited training numbers initially. Despite the return of some players, such as Patrick Bamford who has rejoined team training, there are still uncertainties about match fitness. Bamford, who missed several weeks with knee surgery and a hamstring issue, may not be ready for a full 90 minutes yet. Mateo Joseph and Joel Piroe have been in good form, with Joseph scoring his first league goal of the season and Piroe contributing off the bench.
Farke remains hopeful that the squad will be ready for Saturday’s game, despite the injury concerns.
