Leeds United Defender Set for Extended Absence After Meniscus Surgery
As injury analyst Dr. Rajpal Brar has noted, Leeds United defender Max Wober will be out of training till mid-November due to a meniscus operation. At first, it looked like the Austrian international was on the brink of getting back to full training, but rather unfortunately, he suffered a setback which forced the manager, Daniel Farke to estimate six weeks for his recovery.
Brar supplied physical therapy when Wober suffered a setback but Ruarid has since indicated that progress rehabilitation was apparently on course at the stage. “They were managing his return carefully after the knee injury,” he commented, adding that nether acute or chronic knee injuries should be rushed.
This is especially worrying for Wober and perhaps even for Leeds who are facing another injury crisis. The 26-year-old has featured in just one match this season; a 3-0 loss suffered by the club, against Middlesbrough, in the EFL Cup on August 14. A speedy return to fitness is also important for the team as Farke faces various challenges in the course of the season.
Wober’s absence is predictable with the current need for back stability therefore all the part of fans and even staffs will still anticipate his recovery hoping he will not look rusty when his services are needed on the field. For now, however, Leeds must come to terms with the situation and keep pushing for improvement in the results without him.
